Blairstown Fall Festival

The beds are coming back to Blairstown October 16th! Last held in the 1990’s, the Blairstown Bed Races were a community favorite. This year the BEC will bring back this cherished event to raise funds for the restoration of the Footbridge Park, the village district, and other meaningful projects — such as North Warren High School scholarships, town cleanups and Jingle on Main — that benefit the community at large. The event will be held rain or shine on Saturday, Oct. 16, 11AM – 4PM at Footbridge Park. The festival will also feature local crafters/vendors, food trucks, a beer garden (proof of ID required to enter), live music, a pumpkin pavilion and a Children’s Activity Center organized by the Blairstown MOMS Club.

"B" for Beautification!

“B” for Beautification! The BEC Beautification Project Team lead by Pat Kennedy is always looking for new ideas about how to make Blairstown even prettier than it is. Whether by a spring clean up project, or landscaping effort, or even a fresh coat of paint, the Beautification Project Team is ready to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. Have an idea? Share it!

"E" for Economy

The BEC Business Champions project has a strong focus on promoting the local economy by bringing together the regional business community through networking functions such as business card exchanges, “Monday Mixers,” webinars, and live seminars that offer members the chance to socialize and develop new business contacts.

"C" for Community

Let’s have some fun together! A community that plays together stays together.  🙂  The BEC is now the sponsor of Jingle on Main, and is working on a plan to bring back the “Bed Races” to the historic downtown this October for a fall festival.

From the Community

I love to jump in and get involved in meaningful projects. Go BEC!

Living in a rural area makes it hard for organizations and people to connect. Thank you BEC for bringing us together.

Your meetings are always welcoming and invite input from the community.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.
– MARGARET MEAD (1901 – 1978)
