Support Resources
Thankfully, many organizations at the federal, state, and local level have been stood up to help fight the epidemic. We have listed several groups below as a starting point and have included a link to a reference document that identifies additional resources as well.
Responding to a need for a local support group for families who have either lost loved ones or are struggling with a loved one’s current addiction, CARE helped establish the Greater Blairstown Family Support Group, a bi-weekly family support group that meets from 7-8:30 pm on second and fourth Fridays of the month at North Warren Counseling Center (NWCC), 13 Stillwater Road, Blairstown. All welcome. Come listen and/or share.
The Family Support Group acts independently of CARE and the NWCC, although participants seeking professional assistance outside the Family Support Group activities can reach out to the North Warren Counseling Center privately. The support group will be facilitated by volunteers with firsthand experience in this realm. For more information, contact Jim Perry at jjperry13@gmail.com.
