2018 SPRING CLEANUP
Main Street Cleanup
May 18, 2018
The first Spring Clean-Up Day on Main Street took place May, 2018, resulting in a rejuvenated Main Street. Many hardworking Blair seniors, under the direction of Olga Brazaitis and David Facciani, spent the afternoon cleaning dirt, gravel and weeds from sidewalks. They brought shovels, push brooms, contractor bags and wheelbarrow and filled 15+ bags!
Another group of students, led by Gina Trish and Patti Doell from the Garden Club, installed beautiful plantings in the Pocket Park off East Avenue.
BEC helped organize the day’s effort and the end result looked amazing. It went so well, that BEC is expanding the project in 2019. They will be working again with Blair, along with DPW and other local organizations, in planning the second annual SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY. (Name TBD.)
If you have any ideas on how to spruce up the Village area contact BEC.
